Job Description:
Team Environment:
Part of a team directly supporting an SVP level leader in their overall engineering efforts while collaborating and working closely with teams within client Networking Engineering Operations, across CN, other client organizations, and with cross-functional partners in the BU Product Management and Engineering teams. Also directly supporting a VP of Engineering who reports into the SVP.
Summary:
This role will be supporting an operations team providing engineering support to an SVP with focus on strategic and key operations initiatives. In addition, the role will also support VP level engineering leaders as needed and decided by the Chief of Staff Team.
Day to Day:
- Be a part of the Operations Team supporting an SVP
- Provide operational support to an Engineering VP, as needed
- Support the engineering Leaders in the organization in running their engineering activities
- Build strong partnership with the PMO, Financial Operations and Finance Leads as a single point of contact for leader and leadership team
- Lead special engineering projects/initiatives within the organization as needed
- Plan and coordinate organizational meetings such as staff, extended staff, all hands, offsites
- Lead preparation and attend as appropriate run the engineering and interlock meetings (such as Quarterly Quality Reviews, Project Reviews and Customer meetings
- Lead and own the quarterly / annual planning engineering processes
- Provide analysis related to budget, recognition, lab and workplace resources, headcount, hiring, compliance training etc.
- Track and drive completion of action items and deliverables the Engineering Leadership team
Must Haves:
- 5+ years previous relevant work experience in high tech industry in engineering operations and/or project management.
- BA/BS in Business Management or relevant field.
- Familiarity with project and engineering management in the context of a large engineering organization.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced and high-demand environment.
- Excellent time management and planning skills with the ability to shift priorities in a highly dynamic environment.
- High proficiency in MS Office including SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $120,000 – $130,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
